Kelly and Rebecca triumph at Keighley
Posted by Graham on 6th February 2012On Saturday three players from Garstang braved the snow and travelled to Keighley to take part in the Keighley Junior 2 Star Tournament. Stuart Southward was first in action in the Under 15 Boys event, with the standard of players being so high Stuart struggled, failing to win a single match in his group, in the knockout stage he fell at the first hurdle, unluckily losing a tight match in 5 ends.

Busy week for Garstang A
Posted by Graham on 30th January 2012In the Preston League Premier Division only Garstang A were in action taking on third from bottom Deepdale, with Garstang B sitting second from bottom in the table a good result could help the B team in their fight to avoid relegation. The A team duly obliged with an 8-2 victory their biggest win to date, Graham Coupe won all three, Martin Wyatt and Jordan Brookes both came unstuck against Deepdale No.1 Brian Oldfield.

B team keep promotion hopes on track
Posted by Graham on 23rd January 2012In the Lancaster & Morecambe League Division 1 Garstang B kept their promotion hopes on track with a convincing 29-10 victory over St Lukes C, Dave Holroyd and Jim Vasey won all 3, Mike Gregory added 2 more and a win in the doubles completed the points.
